... are teh suck ! discuss !
Well alright seriously tho - where is the PvE love ? The talents as they are right now makes me want to spec seal-fate and Adrenaline rush - ideally, I suppose, with fists, but obviously this assumes there will actually be some fist weapons accessable and that they aren't sucked up by the new duel wielding shamans. I guess it will be a nice build even with swords which no doubt will still be easier to get, but ... I want new talents not just previously unavailable combos of old ones and I'm just not seeing any viable looking dps builds coming out of the new talents.

there's none, or close to none, i was ranting and bitching in other thread so i wont repeat myself there's a lot of pvp love though. i predict 41/20 build to be new cookie cutter pvp/pve all around build. die hard combat rogues got shafted so far - they're better getting some poison talents for increased raid dps than any of new BC talents - that speaks for itself imo.

this game isnt all about pvp. also it doesnt matter who cares about what aspect of the game. pvp specced rogues are gimped in raids, period. we're just lucky that whaco raid leaders are forgiving when it comes to speccing, but we may face the situation in the future where squeezing every possible drop of dps will be nessesary to down one boss or another.
as a rogues our role in raid is simple - to dps the boss down. if you're going with "who cares about pve, i want pvp buffing talents !" you're hurting the raid, becouse your potential dps is higher but you're not using this potential.
the point still stands - new talents in current form are garbage for raiding.
waaaah ! where's slit ! i have noone to argue with ! and i know im ranting too much >.> sorry cant help it !

I can't imagine wanting to pvp with a rogue if I had a mage at my disposal like you guava !
I guess the obvious point is that we're not sure what new content will be like, very possibly stunning and stuff like mind-numbing poison will have more of a role for rogues - its hard to judge utility until we see the context. Even the daze effect could be essential if they designed encounters that way. It may even be that the mechanics of combat change so that suprise attacks is worthwhile, as someone pointed out on the rogue forum, the single roll table system is already getting "crowded" with some of the top end crit rates and this will get more and more of a problem with better equipment available. It makes sense for them to move to a two roll system at some point. What I hope they don't do is make stuff like opening locks, detecting traps or (at a stretch) pickpocketing the essential things that rogues bring to raids...

pvping with rogue can be fun, you have no idea how much satisfaction you can get from beating soul linked lock, or overconfident huntard sitting on trap and flare in duel ... but then i never played a mage
