Grouping
Remember: Phase 1 and 2 splits us up in 2 groups, east and west. Keep this distance in mind at all times when arranging.
You want 2 full teams of healers. These will, for the large part, be the people healing the MTs. You want the 2 teams to be on opposite sides of Onyxia. (Referring to these teams as A and B)
You want 1 shammie in all teams (for Tremor Totem more than anything). In case we don’t have enough shamans to put one in all teams, the priority should be the MT/healing groups, making sure the shammies in the healer groups can do Mana Tides.
You want the remaining healers spread equally to both sides, looking at class as well.
Make sure that we have equal druids on both sides.
Phase 1
Assignment
3 from team A and 3 from team B heals MT1.
Orders
Everyone else make sure the raid is alive and well while preserving mana as much as possible. Those not assigned to MT1 can DPS a bit (following the leader’s calls, obviously) as long as people are well and they stay above 80% mana.
Phase 2
First of all, all priests and druids keep up DoT on Onyxia at all times.
Assignment
1 from each group A and B as well as the healers outside those 2 groups keep the raid alive while the MT healers from phase 1 regains mana.
Orders
Spam everyone in range, but don’t forget there is a phase 3 as well; you will need mana for that too.
Positions are everything here. We need to spread out as much as possible
If we stand close, she takes a deep breath.
If we do not keep up DoT on her, she takes a deep breath.
If she takes a deep breath, ½ the raid (usually) dies.
Phase 3
Assignment
Team A on MT1, team B on MT2, remaining healers on spam those in range.
Orders
As soon as you hear CT announce phase 3 coming: RUN!
Get back to your phase 1 position a.s.a.p., no excuses, no delays, move, move, move! Hug the walls, don’t get in front of Nyxia, she has awful breath, don’t get behind her, her tail is out of control. If anyone has to ress here, do so right after a fear or it will be wasted.
There is mass fear, shamans keep those tremor running non-stop please.
Resurrecting
Our only means to resurrecting here are the druids. This means that the healing leader calls ALL resurrections, no druids ress unless told so, or we will waste a 30 min cooldown on ressing the wrong people or have 2 druids ressing same person, wasting cooldown completely. Yes, there is such a thing as the wrong people. Example: We are in the first part of phase 3, only 1 druid can still ress, a mage next to him dies, the druid resses the mage, 1 min later our MT goes down.
