Some neat changes.... but I'd expected a little bit more shaman support for casters, atm there's only resist totems, tremor and manaspring for casters. Mana Tide is still a 31 point talent

Overall, pretty lame changes, imo. Paladin is still ridiculously more powerful as a support class. D amn alliance! Healing Way (3 point): Healing Wave spells cast on the target cause an effect that increases the effectiveness of any Healing Wave spell cast on that target by 6% for 15 seconds. This effect will stack of to three times. That's a pretty hefty raid buff. I wish it would apply to all healing, tho Windfury Weapon - Attack power bonus reduced. Hahaa, nerf!

Disappointing
This is just minor tweaking.
They have combined some of the talents noone in their right mind would take in the first place so you kinda end up with them even tho you didn't especially want them.
All 3, 31 point talents are still there, the slight buff to stormstrike doesn't change the fact that its fundamentally more rubbish than most 31 point talents. Yea elemental mastery is nicer but still not something that makes a lot of difference in PvE .
Reducing the AP on windfury - smooth way to hide the major nerf amid a flood of useless buffs (ooo my totems will last longer, cost less and maybe have bigger radius, THATS what I was dreaming of. They still suck compared to paladin auras in raids)
They obviously want shamans making more use of Healing Wave rather than Lesser Healing wave (which is similar to what they did for priests.)
What I was hoping was that there might be some viability for non-resto spec shamans in raid PvE but dream on - the only good only buffs here for raids are in the resto tree... manatide gets better and to be honest its already overpowered compared to other healer 31-point talents (at least in raid situations its overpowered.) Even Priests get a somewhat viable raid dps option.
I suspect the changes for PvP are rather nicer but... that was never the problem... and in many ways I'd prefer shamans to get weaker in PvP so everyone else will stop saying we just need to be nerfed when we *honestly could do with major major changes (not necessarily buffs)
All these changes do is increase the pressure on shamans who want to raid to be resto-spec, and I suspect most shamans are like me - did NOT choose shaman with the idea of being an end game healer (and a pretty inflexible boring one too - at least healing will be slightly more interesting with a reason to use healing wave)
What they should have done is make the proc for this Elemental devastation apply to every attack not just the shaman's - hehe you can bet everyone would want an elemental spec shaman or two in a raid then - and that would be equivalent to shadow priests shadow weaving talent - the only real reason to have a raid shadowpriest)
So the "hybrid" class still gets very little reason to actually play as a hybrid and you will still see cookie cutter builds along the lines of 0/20/31, 31/20/0 and 0/30/21 vastly predominate. I would hope for something more like rogues and warlocks have with their talents, with good going reasons to put at least 5 points into every tree.
And we still didn't get bloodlust.

I have only looked through the changes shortly, but from what I can see, enchant/resto is even more gimped now. And why in the world are they buffing the only tree that didn’t need it (!) I almost want to get the PVE gear with caster oriented stats and go full elemental now *sigh*

I gotta quote this from the shaman forum "Warriors, Mages, Rogues, and Hunters are more effective in PvP yet we Shamans get stomped on for a crappy 20% chance. Is it ok if warriors hit you for 4k? Oh, absolutely! Is it ok if Mages one shot your ass down from quite a distance? Yeah definetly! It's what they're good at. Is it ok if Hunters Freeze Trap you and 1 shot you down with Aimed Shot? They invest most of their talent points and they're DPS based so...Yes! Is it ok if Rogues Stun Lock you to death? Yarr! Is it ok for priests to go in Shadow Form and to violantly, steal your heatlh and silence you to death? Yes. Is it ok for Paladins to have insane raid benefits in PvE, Wear plate armor, and have 2 lives? Yes, Bizantium. But why? ....Because they're a paladin of course! Is it ok for Warlocks to be just as effective as mages and have insane abilities to drain your mana away while doing insane amounts of Damage Over Time? Yes, Bizantium, now can you stfu now? Not yet... Is it ok for Shamans to have a 20% chance to do 2 extra attacks after investing a nice amount of talent points in Enhancement tree? WTF? Are you kidding me?!?! I will ban you for asking such a futile question! The answer is NO! No! No! No! Not only can Shamans equip MAIL armoring, and shields but you guys also want a 20% chance to hit two more times with extra attk power!? Are you out of your mind? "
