Just wondering if anyone had any tips on this from a druid perspective.
I'm used to healing with my eyes shut as Selku, so am fine with all the mana conservation, FSR,stat balance stuff, long and slows heals.
Regrowth seems pretty mana inefficient for example, but seems the only reasonable fast heal to spam on cloth wearers who take damage. Any better ways of healing them?
HT is great on tanks taking steady damage, but is very slow to cast. Most of our healers are so fast with heals on other classes, that by the time I'm nearly done with a healing touch, they've already been healed up to full by a priest/shaman, and I cancel the heal. I then end up idling at 100% mana a lot of the time unless I fling some regrowths/rejuvs about.
Also, is there any macro or mod that will prevent the casting of a rejuv on a target who has one on them? Not always easy to look at a person's buffs before casting in a busy raid.

One important hint here Grul. Get "Slyvar" up in his own big window in the middle of the screen and make sure he's on full health at all times. Everything else about healing is pretty unimportant really

Ugh! Now I know why Tanker used to die so much whilst Selku still had full mana! T Nah, that was part of the "How high can we get Tagaroth's repairs" game, nothing to do with healing! And if Slyvar takes damage I assume it's just a lifetap and ignore, he's not having my precious mana!

No Taga that's because we all used to play the "give Tanker a big repair bill game" remember?
Special mention to the first time we tried the doomguard quest..
"What do we do with this add over here?" "But how do we get Tanker out when you've done the quest?" "Hm. Dont think we can - we'll just let him die and res him after"
He he he.

Special mention to the first time we tried the doomguard quest.. Oh god!! Don't remind me of that attempt! We raised an army of about 20-25 raiders to try and capture one lvl 60 elite?! And what was Tanker's job? "Tanker, you're on decoy again. You run in first and aggro those two over there and try and keep them far enough away from slyvar whilst he tries to capture his demon" "ok" [OOM!!!

He he yeah that WAS funny. Especially when we went back and did the quest with 3 people instead of 25 Gotta be the funniest pug ever though - half the people didn't know what they were doing there but did what we asked anyway!

Are we talking raids or just 5-mans here? The short answer here is: learn to use lower ranks of HT. In 99% of situations, using HT11 will make you overheal horribly. Use lower ranks to save mana and prevent overhealing.
You also need to start predicting damage if you want your heals to land before some d**n priest just flash heals MT to full. Start casting even if your target is at 100% health, and if he doesn't get hit before the spell lands just cancel the casting.
And umm, I can't think of anything else right now. Rejuvenation is nice but not the most mana-effective heal. Regrowth is useful in 5-mans but the mana cost is horrible, so I try not to use it at all in raid boss fights and such. And tranquility... uh, right.

Healing drunk is actually easier than what you would think. At some point, you stop caring about the greenbars so much, and the healing becomes _alot_ easier.
Humm?
