Is it possible to make a macro, using different bandages, depending on where you are, such as different bg = different bandage type?

no, blizzars purpose of most of the changes is to stop exactly that, mods must never choose for you. in this case tho, its probably very possible to make a mod that remaps the action bar as you enter the battleground. actionbars can be changed as long as you aren't in combat. how to do that tho, is more than I know

Well, the thing would be that it wouldn't really choose what I should "cast", it would more change what was on the action bars...

/castsequence reset=combat/target/15 Corruption(Rank 2),Curse of Agony(Rank 2),Immolate(Rank 3) warlock dot macro. press three times to apply dots. =) (edit rank numbers to suit your spellbook)
/petattack [harm] /petagressive [modifier:shift] /cast [nocombat, noharm] Consume Shadows(Rank 1) voidy macro. press button with enemy targeted to make it attack. same button with no target or friendly target will make it heal itself. if you press shift and this one, you set pet to agressive.

/cast [harm] Frostbolt(Rank 11) /cast [help] Remove Lesser Curse
/cast [harm] Shadowbolt(Rank 12) /cast [help,pet:Felhunter] Devour magic
(don't have a lock myself so can't check spelling/rank)
dispel macros! this way you don't need to spend time finding the right button when someone needs a dispel, just target and keep whacking.

Frostbolt macro 1.1:
/cast [target=mouseover,exists,help] Remove Lesser Curse /cast [harm] Frostbolt(Rank 11) /cast [exists,help] Remove Lesser Curse /cast [target=player] Remove Lesser Curse
if you're targeting a foe, you frostbolt, if you target a friend, you decurse that friend.
if you mouseover a friend, you decurse that friend, even if you target something else.
if you target nothing, and mouseover nothing, you decurse yourself.

Shadow priests! (or any other class that uses channeled spells)
To enable perfectly timed mind flays:
/cast [nochanneling:Mind Flay] Mind Flay
This macro will attempt to cast mind flay but will abort if it's already channeled, which means you can spam the button for perfect timing.

is it really perfect though?
I mean, currently, you can start recasting a spell slightly before it actually finishes, due to server-client lag.
----[ spell ]---[ spell ] ----- server timeline / \ / \ <- signals / = client signalling start of cast, \ = server confirming end of cast. --[ spell ][ spell ]---- your ui's timeline
the above happens when you cast spells as they finish.
----[ spell ][ spell ] ----- server timeline / /\ \ <- signals --[ spell [ ] spell ]---- your ui's timeline
if you instead interrupt your own cast before its finished, and start casting a new spell, and you time it right, the spell interrupt will reach the server AFTER the spell finishes in the server's timeline, and thus it still takes effect. what the server see's is what actually happens. The gain from this, is that in the servers point of view, you start casting the next spell right after the old spell started, instead of [your latency] later. in my case, I loose on average 10% of my casting time due to this lag, more yet on instant spells.
anyway, to my point, there is alredy a glitch where you can start on next spell before the current has finished, by like a tenth of a second, won't this macro disable that slight advantage?

Yea, you're right. This macro would be nice in ideal conditions with zero latency, I forgot to take that in account.
