Pit duty: 2 mages on pit duty takes too much away from killing totems I reckon. Perhaps it would be better for mages to set up a mage channel and just hand over "pit duty" if they get too low on mana? Or alternatively have 1 mage on pit duty, but assign a back up. Still think we should only kill the skellys when there is a person teleported there though.
Triangle idea: I really like this idea skral. We could also have people running into the middle when they get boss aggro too. In fact why not make it a circle and do the whole thing like a mini shazzrah? If you get a shade go to the middle and stay there if you dont kill it for a set amount of time. They can't stay there permanently or else the whole raid will end up there. Like you say ranged make the totems a priority, melee beat down on the boss and ignore totems but not shades, whcih will all be right next to them anyway..
Yeah let's try this!

one quick question...
Does the pit itself do any damage? If not, would it be an idea to tank the boss IN the pit?.. thereby the Mage AoE would also be hitting the boss.....
just a thought..
also.. Triangle, Circle.. dont matter much to me.. its the shades on one central place I was after.

Last thing you want is for the tank to take all of them while busy tanking the boss. Plus there's no need to touch them until someone is actually teleported in there. If mages had to AoE constantly for the whole fight, they'd go OOM d**n quick It looks like a long fight too, no way we'd be able to keep the all dead all of the time whilst also dealing with shades and totems.

Had another thought for healing..perhaps we can get away with the priest/druid heal over times for healing, have the priests dispel hex whenever, and other than that keep healers on totem/shade control?

An idea... Was given a suggestion of how some raids over in the states do Jin Do. Locks and Hunters Drain mana, while druid tanks.. once drained, no totems appear.. and we zerg him. Ignoring the shades, all together. all should have shadow protection, and all should drink a shadow potion before hand. Personally, i quite like the sound of this.. it just sounds brutal no finess hehe what are your thoughts? have to say.. when we were all focussing on him, his health goes down reasonably quickly..
