Hi So far the tactics that we had for the bosses have been slightly changed as we go, boss by boss. For anyone who has had experience with other bosses, or even ideas for ones we currently slaughter.. please post here.. Specially for spider lady, though i think we are getting close. Cheers, Skrallik

These are the tactics we used to kill spider lady on the 26th Dec. (Full credit to Krk for the tactics btw).
The change to the previous tactics is when she’s in spider form (the rest still remains the same; kill spiders as a priority, counterspell/kick/shield bash/etc her drainlife heal, spam remove poison). When she has transformed into spider form, the first tank (MT1) will tank her near to the hut that she starts in. Melee DPS will also be there. Ranged DPS, healers and a second tank (MT2) will be in a separate group about 20-30yards down the path (pretty much where we do all the buffing etc pre-fight). When she webs MT1 and the melee group, she will charge towards the main healer/ranged group. MT2 will then catch her and take aggro and pull her back to the melee DPS group. MT1 will then go to the healer group and get ready to catch her next time she webs. This means: 1) The main tanks essentially take turns catching and tanking her. 2) She is always tanked in the same place, where the melee DPS are. 3) She doesn’t web the healer group.
We used this tactic to kill her on Monday night, it works but it is still a very tough fight. We had to just nuke her at the end after we lost the tanks and we wiped afterwards as the summoned spiders killed the few that survived after boss had died. These spiders do despawn, but not for sometime.
Anyway, please feel free to amend/add your thoughts on the above, but I think it’s worth us using this tactic in future; we should be able to do her quite easily after a few more kills, knowing our steep learning curve!

Thanks Yavi and Krktie, sounds really good.
We'll try it out a couple more times and will put it on our tactics for the bioss.
As I have said in the past, i have only included tactics here that are more like suggestions. As I havent faced the bosses I cant tell if they will work, and so far, each tactic for each boss we have feaced has been changed in someway to become our own.
Great effort.

Yeah thanks to krk for that tactic - saved us a lot of bother trying out other stuff that doesn't work as well! This tactic has the great advantage of requiring most of the raid to basically stand still and just hit her, making it a fairly easy fight if you keep the main tanks alive.

The worst thing about the fight is really the poison dot and the life drain/healing she does. Also her hitpoints.. they just don't go down, argh! (Btw I didn't come up with those tactics of course, they were used on the last raid I was with. So thanks to Talons for letting me tag along.)

Remember: All (!!) Ranged DPS kills the spiders when they come during the fight ASAP. If they are allowed to grow its a wipe.
The strategy we used in Defias Brotherhood: Main Tank tanks Mar'li at the stairs. Two tanks (the offtank and another just for spare) stay a few yards behind the MT (say 20y) and catch Mar'li when she runs around - they escort Mar'li BACK to the MT. MT and Melee DPS don't move. Healers stay behind the offtanks another few yards. Ranged DPS stays on the side.
Dedicated poison removers for when Mar'li is in Spider. (Poison Totem helps alot.) All warlocks and hunters drain mana. Ranged DPS kills the small spiders as soon as possible if they are allowed to grow - its game over.

Thekal
Reading the strategy for Thekal, I am missing a tad for healers. The main thing being on fase 1 of the fight.
As we did it on last attempt, it is possible for a priest to be possitioned in range of all 3 tanks, being backup on them all. This proved very valuable. Also, standing there, the priest is within range of 95% of the raid group and therefore able to dispel the raid of the silence debuff. This is of course most important on the healers, but most other classes will also be grateful for it. It's not at all hard to do both these for 1 priest, as the silence is cast with sorta large intervals. It should definately still be dispelled imo, since just 1 healer silenced for 10 sec can most definately kill a raid with the wrong timing.

Just wanted to get down what we did last time for thekal that almost worked:
Phase 1: Have 2 tanks on the non-priest add and take that one to 10% last. Then Thekal then the priest. This makes the priest's healing matter less.
Phase 2: When he turns into a tiger, everyone but the main tank and back up tank needs to bundle over to the cages. Then all the raid concentrates on killing the tiger adds, whilst the locks and hunters drain thekal's mana. When he reaches 0 mana, all mana drainers continue to drain mana, or he summons tigers again. 3 ticks of regen is enough for him to summon. If any tigers turn up, priority is to kill them first. Keep the raid huddled - dont spread out and go chasing after the tigers. When there are no tiger adds, DPS thekal. Based on last time, this should work provided we dont get spread out.

A note for rogues on Thekal: Since the tigers need to die FAST (They hit d**n hard), it's best to stay positioned with the main group, do'nt bother running up to Thekal to melee DPS him, shoot him with your bows when there are no tigers around. We need to do this AND preferably pull aggro from the mana-drainers and healers, which are the targets the tigers go for first, so I guess my point is: Even though we hate it, shoot him down, DPS the tigers.

Remember to put Master looter on for bosses. There's atleast one noob that doesn't know when to press "pass" instead of "Need" and "yes" to "Pressing yes binds this thing to you"...

Quess that I didn't go to sleep after all. Here's a strat found at Allakhazam, and it addresses some of the questions that you made at the end of the raid.
"Have everyone in your group gather by the gong which is used to summon the boss. She will appear in the center of the room. Position the main tank in the center of the room where she spawns. After a few seconds she marks 1, usually 2 people in your group (completely random, can't do anything to select who she marks). Keep the marked people alive, as all the 40 panthers which spawn will be on the marked teamates. Do not waste any dps on the panthers. Use all types of fear, flash bombs, frost nova can help to keep the kitties in place, and green whelp armor helps a lot to reduce the damage your marked teamates are taking. The boss dissapears so it is important for all dps to be on her whenever she is out and the main tank has agro. You want to get the boss down in 3 or 4 dissapears, any longer of a fight you probably won't last.
Things that worked for us: 1. Not wasting valuable dps on panthers, heal the marked teamates and save the dps for the boss. 2. Get her down fast, you won't be able to sustain the fight long. Kill her in 3 or 4 vanishes. 3. Minimize the damage that your marked teamates are taking, AOE fear on a rotation, flash bombs, demoralizing shout, blessing of sanctuary/stoneskin totem, (frost nova is okay too to lock them in place for a bit, so the marked teamates can step away for a break), and ofcourse our favorite if your teamates can wear Green Whelp Armor, do it. Hopefully you will see many ZzZzZz-ing nice kitties. 4. Keep your team except the main tank in the gong room, so when the boss appears hopefully your tank can pull her away from everyone and establish agro when she appears. She has a nasty whurlwind which can 1 shot a lot of your softer teamates. 5. Gift of Arthas potion for the main tank, infects the boss to increase damage taken by 8. You need to get her down fast, and this does miracles, reasoably priced in the AH too. 6. This is kinda hard but try and have your dps get her down as much as you can before her first vanish. It's hard not to pull agro off the main tank in the beginning, but you really need to put it on her with the quickness or the end of the fight won't be easy. 90% is good, desireably get her to 75% before her first vanish, and do 25% each time she pops out and you should be on a good pace. 7. Bandaid yourself, the healers have too much work to do keeping the marked teamates up and a main tank. Use them when appropriate. 8. Don't get discouraged if a strategey you try doesn't work, be determined, repair if you have to and go back. Experiment to find out what works best for you. Don't give up, it's not an easy fight.
Things that didn't work for us: 1. Killing the panthers seemed like a waste of mana because they respawn anyway. It seems that they cap at 40 panthers. We would rather heal the marked teamates, than waste our dps mana on them. It is possible to kill the panthers and win, but I suggest against it. DO NOT KILL ANY PANTHERS WHEN THE BOSS IS OUT, OR ELSE THEY RESPAWN AS ELITES! 2. We tried forcing the boss to mark teamates by hiding the rest of the group behind the pens. It does not work, SHE RANDOMLY SELECTS WHO WILL GET MARKED, YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Cross your fingers and hope it's a druid or plate wearer. 3. Have warriors take agro from the panthers as they spawn. This does not work, the marked targets is all that the panthers will go after, yes you can taunt a panther or two off your marked teamate for a few seconds, but it's pointless as they quickly reattach themselves to the marked teamates regardless of your efforts. YOU CAN NOT PULL THE PANTHERS OFF THE MARKED TARGETS. Demoralizing shout, Sanctuary, Flash Bombs and AOE fear rotation, is your only real way to help minimize the damage your marked teamates are taking. 4. Have your softer teamates against the wall so she won't appear behind you and whurlwind your softies. THIS DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. SHE CAN APPEAR ANYWHERE AND YOU CAN'T CONTROLL IT. Have warriors to be ready to taunt and bring to the main tank as soon as she spawns (she ussually spawns outside of the gong area, but can spawn very close!). Main tank must establish agro quickly so dps can move in as fast as they can. All warriors be on your toes, ready to taunt and pass off to the main tank. 5. Make sure you let everyone know you are starting the event. And warn people not to touch the gong prematurely. "
