Hello all,
Wanted to throw out a quick thank you to Krktie, Yavimaya, Felbane, Zianna, Zikorez, and Draigh for giving up some of their evening last night to help me with my demon quests.
THANK YOU
We managed find and kill the Ungoro and Sithilus demons, leaving me with only the Wintersping one to kill beofre I get my epic bow and staff.
For other Hunters in our raids that are going to be doing the same quest...
Look at www.tkasomething.com as a guide. It does contain spoilers, so if you want to do it yourself with no input, dont look at the website, and stop reading now..
Below are some interesting points I figured out that may help you.
Potions/Elixirs i carried with me:
Whipper root (felwood) for health
Night Dragons Breath (felwood) for mana
Minor speed increase enchant on boots
2H sword preferably with Demonslaying enchant
Elixir of Demonslaying
Elixir of Sages
Elixir of mongoose
Elixir of Strength
Elixir of Defence
Major Healing Potion
Major Mana Potion
Burning Steppes
Lay an Ice Trap
Hunters Mark
Aimed shot + Multi shot while backing away
Demon Trapped
Aimed shot + Scorpid Sting
(use a nights dragon breath)
Immediately Wing Clip the Demon and move away. When he enrages, shoot him with Scorpid Sting again and move in to melee him. He enrages every 12 seconds, so you have time to melee him with 2 hits before you should think about clipping and moving away again. I kept trying to get a third hit in, but its not advisable as you end up too close to him when he enrages. the rinse and repeat section should be:
Scorpid sting, Melee 2 hits, Winglcip, sidestep away, (enrages)
(you dont NEED to use tranq shot as the scorpid sting will 9/10 get him out of his enrage, have it ready just in case)
If you do this right, your only concern will be mana. Use dragons breath when you can, and if going to use a major mana potion, wait until your mana is just right to take you back to full... dont want to waste any of the mana potion by using it too early. Also, always sidestep away. backing away is too slow, and if you turn your back to the demon you will get dazed.
Ungoro
Not as sought after as the BS demon, this demon has been there evrytime i have gone to find it. Grab some friends and head down to find the demon.
THe demon itself is relatively easy, but it has got a fellhound that is just plain annoying.. there are different suggestions on how to kill this demon, but this is what i did:
usual potions and buffs as per above +
Drink a nature resist potion before turning her into the demon, and let the timer go down.
Summon the demon
Drink a Greater Stoneshield potion, which raises armour by 2000 for 2 minutes.
Lay a freeze trap.
Hunter mark the demon
When the potion timer is down to 1minute 30 Seconds, fire
Open with Aimed shot and concussion shot. This will ensure the fellhound gets to you beofre the demon and is trapped, giving you 30 seconds to fight the demon with no interruptions.
Demon - as she gets close to you, use Viper Sting which silences her. Melee her for two hits, wing clip, side step away, viper sting.... repeat.
Fellhound - this should be trapped for the first 30 seconds of the fight. When it comes out of the trap, you should still have 1 minute or so of high armour, making the damage from the fellhound minimal. Use Whipper roots and a HS where appropriate. The fallhound will stand almost on top of the demon and can cause problems for targetting..
I found the following macros useful:
to regain demon as your target
/target Simone the Seductress
/cast Attack
To get the fellhound off your back quickly
/target (fellhounds name, cant remember)
/cast Scatter shot (will confirm wording)
/target Simone the Seductress
/cast Attack
If you have the HS, the stoneshield, Whipper root, and major healing potion, you can pretty much ignore the pet, mand just kil the demon with:
Viper, 2 hits, winc clip, away
(get your friends to help you kill the pet once the demon is dead. THis is allowed)
Sithilus
This is supposed to be the hardest demon of the lot, but i have to say i foudn it the easiest, being the only demon i took down on my first go.
drinks elixirs and get buffs.
Drink a greater shadow protection potion and let timer go down.
Chill the demon with a Frost trap, feign and restart
Have a HS ready and more healing/shadow potions
Start:
Drop an explosive trap
Hunters Mark
Aimed Shot
Wing Clip
Side step away
Multi Shot
Seprent sting
move in small spurts to allow auto fire to go off
thw wing clip stops him for 30 seconds. He spawns homing beetes which die really easily, but hurt you alot if you get too close to them. Wing clip the demon, apply serpent sting and round up the bettles with multi shot and volleys...
As long as you wing clip the demon and apply serpent sting, your main focus should only be avoiding and killing the beetles, with getting the occasional shot off at the demon.
I'll let you know how i get on with the the winterspring one..
